The Keyword Eye tool is great and I use it whenever I'm doing keyword research - it's my favorite tool. Jason McDonald from JM Marketing Group talks about it in one of his free webinars "11 Cool SEO / Social Media Tools for 2011" Your tool was at the top of his list. http://www.jm-seo.org/free/index.html
I'll let you know what feedback we get.
Take care,

Thanks for stopping by. Yes, David Mihm's report is an excellent resource. It's the Bible of local seo. Some other great people to follow are Mike Blumenthal and Linda Buquet, both very much on top of local search and especially Google.

You mentioned speculation that places link landing page on a website should carry phone number etc - in other words the NAP info Name Address & Phone Number.
If you are not already aware of it then David Mihm's excellent annual round up of local search ranking factors with input from US, UK and many other local SEO veterans is an extremely useful (almost scientific) appraisal of what is affecting and what isn't affecting local rankings. The importance of NAP info for local search is definitely not speculation.
Well worth a look for any business owner as well, who hasn't got the financial resources to put into local seo. You can find Local Search Ranking Factors here. This is not a 5 second infographic skim. Set aside an hour or 2 to digest this at the very least!

I need to get going with some current videos. Google Places new look is next on my lists of to dos!
We would be honored to do a guest post and will throw some ideas your way in the near future. Google + is all the rage now. Local search optimization is in constant change and there so much going on to write about, it's finding the time to sit down and do it.
Have a good one!

Thanks for the mention and for your overly generous compliments! I really like the visual you did of the top-20 citation sources.
Do let me know when you finish the 7-part video series on GP optimization; I'd certainly like to spread the word about it (always on the lookout for more good videos).
By the way, feel free to throw some ideas my way for guest posts that you'd maybe want to do. You've done some great posts, and I'd be interested in featuring similar ones (again, always looking for good posts).

Hi Susan,

Thanks for the mention and for your overly generous compliments! Thanks for your comment. Yes, I have seen it again tonight. Here's a short screencast http://youtu.be/n3zw5yYWr_I
When I type in "dent repair" for Shrewsbury and click on the pin for Dent'n Scratch Magician, it brings me to their website. When I type in "jewelry repair Holliston" and click on the pin for G. Falzon & Company, it brings me to their Place page.
